Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to data when you use Project Material Calc. The site has no accounts and no sign-up.

Summary
- You cannot create an account, and the site does not ask for your name or email address.
- The numbers you enter in a calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Two preferences are stored in your browser only: the appearance and the units of the calculators.
- A link to a result contains the numbers of that calculation. Whoever opens the link sends those numbers to the hosting provider as part of the page address.
- The hosting provider processes technical request data to deliver the pages.
- Third-party advertising is loaded only when it is enabled for the site and permitted for you.
Calculator entries
The calculators run in your browser. The measurements and other numbers you enter are used there to compute the result. They are not sent to us, and the site does not store them: when you leave or reload the page, they are gone.
If you select the button that copies a link to a result, the site builds a link that contains the numbers of that calculation and the selected options, written as numbers. The link contains no text that you typed. When you or someone else opens the link, the numbers are part of the page address, so they reach the hosting provider together with the request for the page.
Data stored in your browser
The site uses the local storage of your browser for two preferences.

Before you choose units, the calculators read the language setting of your browser to decide whether to start with metric or US units. This setting is used in your browser only.
The stored preferences stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Hosting and request data
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, our hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare processes technical data that is needed to deliver the page and to protect the service, such as your IP address, the requested address, the time of the request and information about your browser.
We do not keep our own database of visitors.
Advertising
The site may show advertisements that are provided by third parties such as Google. If advertising is not enabled for the site, the pages contain no advertising code and make no requests to advertising providers.
Advertising code is loaded only when advertising is enabled and, where a consent choice applies to you, after you have allowed it. If you refuse or withdraw your choice, the site stops loading advertisements.
When advertisements are shown, the advertising provider receives technical data such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar storage according to its own policy. We ask the provider not to personalize advertisements.
Your choices
- Clear the site data in your browser to remove the stored preferences.
- Do not share a link to a result if you want to keep its numbers to yourself.
- Use the consent dialog, where one is shown, to allow or refuse advertising.

Changes to this policy
We update this page when the way the site handles data changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
